Intrafascial nerve sparing
141 viewsInformation
Description
- For an intrafascial approach, after exposure of Denovillier's fascia under seminal vesicles, the fascia should not be excised but stripped off the prostate towards the apex.
- A strictly athermal technique for nerve sparing using clips is advised to optimize functional outcomes of the approach
- Release of the bundle is finalized by lateral dissection of capsular connections, close to the apex, staying medially to the puboprostatic ligaments.
