Step 3. En bloc tumor removal A.G. Martov

The next step is tumor removal from the bladder. We can use active aspiration through the sheath or its removal by means of different forceps (baskets, extractors etc.). In case of large tumor, it could be divided into several parts by conventional resectoscope loop. Here we switch our J-shaped-electrode on routine monopolar loop, catch the tumor and retrieve it together with internal sheath. Major advantage of this technology is possibility of macroscopic tumor evaluation by urologist and pathologist.
