Description

  • Caution must be addressed when freeing UPJ from adjacent structures. All movements must be extremely gentle at this point. Duodenum and big vessels are adjacent to the working area and possible injuries can potentially destroy the operation.
  • Correct dissection of the UPJ is the first important step for accomplishing optimum anastomosis. In this goal, placing stay sutures in the renal pelvis and in the ureter and avoiding cautery can significantly aid.
