Description
The posterior peritoneum in the rectouterine pouch is incised followed by blunt dissection to the posterior vaginal fornix. Manipulation of an intravaginal dilator helps identify the junction with the cervical os and guides the incision in the posterior vaginal wall.Traction on the uterus usingthe fourth arm is maintained during dissection. After development of the retropubic space similar to male RARC, the urethra is exposed by applying traction to the whole specimen. Manipulation of the Foley catheter helps to identify the urethral meatus.
