Step 1. Development of periureteral space K. Guru

The procedure deploys the same principle of creating the spaces as for male cystectomy with few modifications.

Periureteral and lateral pelvic spaces: While developing the periureteral space, the ovarian pedicle is identified, dissected and retracted medially to identify the ureter. The uterine artery is encountered crossing the ureter.These structures are left intact until all other landmarks are identified.
