A. Bachmann

Alexander Bachmann is professor and chairman at the department of Urology, University Hospital Basel in Switzerland. 

He specialized in the entire field of ablative and reconstructive laparoscopy including donor nephrectomy. Additionally, special academic and clinical investigation are done on minimally-invasive prostate surgery, especially on prostate laser surgery.

He is a founding member if the International Greenlight user group (IGLU) in 2005. Additionally he’s scientific and clinical work is focused in living donor nephrectomy, reconstructive minimally-invasive kidney surgery different techniques of minimally-invasive prostate surgery. He is member of the European Association of Urology (EAU) working party on BPH guidelines since 2007. 

Prof. Bachmann is author and reviewer of numerous peer-reviewed publications in high-ranked Journals, including European Urology, Journal of Urology, Transplantation and World Journal of Urology. He has contributed in numerous book chapters dealing prostate laser surgery, laparoscopic radical prostatectomy and kidney surgery as well. He is member of European Urology, Endourological Society, German Urological Association (DGU) and Swiss Urological Association (SGU).
